Default A/C Clutch won't engage (no power)

I have a new to me 1987 Cherokee 4.0L and went to fix the A/C. I had to replace a hose that was worn out so no refrigerant, but when charging it, the A/C clutch wont engage. Not sure if it did prior to charging it either. Anyways, no power to the compressor. There should be power to one of the two wires right? Also, I moved around the relays and no change. Also, looked around for a low pressure switch an none to be found on my accumulator. Any ideas? Is there a fuse?

Thanks,
Jamie

It's probably the switch mine did the same thing when it was low on freon. But no power usually means a bad relay/compressor
Btw...what freon did you use to fill it? Did you convert it to r134a?

I did use 134a and it was converted by the PO. If there is no power to the compressor, is it only the switch and or the relay?

There is a switch...it looks like it's in one of the lines. I would say thats probably it. If the switch is bad, It'll cut the power to the compressor, think of how a toggle switch works, pretty much the same thing. I work at AZ and poked around the computer at work this morning. It's defiantly got a switch, ya just have to find it. Bueno suerte amigo, hope I helped a little.

untill there is enought freon in the system it will not activate the low pressure switch which in turn will activate the compressor .
