Belt rerouting after 99+ intake swap.
After doing my intake swap over the past few days, i got to the point where i need a new belt. with everything bolted up we cant and ran the old belt to get the measurement. the problem is i have the belt running back to back on flat pullies. has anyone run the ribs ont he flat pulley surface? hows it working? or has anyone swapped it for a ribbed idler (best option)? what one did you use? thanks for the help.

I run the ribs on the flat pulley, no problems in a 2 years or so. Belt does squeal alittle bit at start up on wet days, i could tighten it but i dont want it too tight, it doesn't really bother me and it doesn't do it when its been running.
IIRC I used 87" belt

I had to go to a shorter belt when I did my swap. I used a goodyear 4060945. Factory 99 belt is a 4060950 which I ran for a few months but I couldn't adjust it any tighter because it would rub on the timing tab down by the balancer.
