Looking for a little advice , I recently bought a 99 xj coverted to a 5 speed manual , I'm getting codes stating that the computer is looking for an overdrive and getting a code for a bad torque converter , I changed the ecm with one that came out of a manual Cherokee same year , it's still getting the codes any advice?

 

It sounds like the computer is for a auto trans xj you mite try another computer and see what happens and maybe you need to change the body computer also .

 

Did you unplug the automatic transmission control module under the dash?
