both exhaust shops I went to told me they wouldn't make me a front pipe without installing the rest of my exhaust at the same time for fitment issues. I thought it was balogna. Walker makes a nice one that removes the kink you can get it on amazon for about 60 bucks.

It's bunk what they said. Only problem with the Walker pipe is it runs the same route as stock.

I don't own a dyno, but I will definitely be feeling for the power difference in takeoff.

40 is in the high end spectrum, but it's anywhere from 20 to 40. I wouldn't be surprised if 20 is all I get, but I do expect gains. Every little bit is an improvement even if it's just minor. Not to mention, it keeps me busy and learning by playing around with all of this stuff, so even if 20 is all I get, I can say "been there done that."

So I might be aiming for the stars and only get to the moon with all of this, but I think it's going to have a positive impact either way

You can get dyno time both engine and chassis dyno in a bunch of places you don't usually "Own One" thats why its so easy to measure the difference anymore. I've chased the numbers for the last 20+ yrs. for a few extra HP.

I should look into getting my YJ on a Dyno, it has the following:

BBK 62 mm throttle body
Air Raid 62 mm spacer
ARB intake with K&N filter
Yella Terra roller rockers
Banks ceramic coated header
Magnaflow in flow cat
Banks monster cat back
Hi flow water pump, thermostat and housing
Screamin demon coil, cap, rotor, wires
24lb injectors with hesco adjustable regulator
Bored .30 over
Ported, Polished, Balanced & Blueprinted block / heads
RV Cam
Upgraded intake ceramic coated
Aluminum radiator

Wouldn't tell you anything unless you had the starting numbers with the original engine.

Then you balance out $ per HP is how I had to figure it for what ET's it would bring you for the $ expended. Not apples for apples but applies for any engine that you build and want to see results of power adders. It became so expensive to chase those numbers that many of the racers just gave up after many yrs. of racing, too many dollars just for a hobby/fun/love of doing at least for me.

Jeeps are a whole lot cheaper and you can have fun for hours on end day after day not just for a few seconds at a time...."But Oh What a Time" from the second you release that button, wheels in the air and hold on just "NEVER LIFT" till you hit the traps

This hobby can become just as addictive as any motor sport or has for me anyway. I do plan on a new engine soon for mine a "Stroker" but want to keep the C.R. where I can run 87oct. 8.5 to 9.0-1 small dish no flat tops.
