Bolt size question

Default Bolt size question

My XJ is tore apart in the garage and has been for about a month. I have both driveshafts out and cant find the bolts that go into the yoke at the tcase end for the driveshafts. Anyone know size, legth, thread, etc..?

Don't know the size but most auto parts stores carry them. I think I paid less than 5 bucks for the set last time I got them.

Go to auto parts store (a knowledgeable one preferably) tell them what bolts you need. Buy bolts. If they don't work repeat steps 1-3 until they do.

Junkyard, pull the bolts from a XJ with the same t case. 231 Im assuming.

Edit: I went around google, data sheets, t-case parts in various stores, diagrams. Couldn't find anything, sorry bud

just go to the jy as stated before and pull the bolts off of the same style case as yours. figured this was a no brainer

or go to NAPA since they seem to be a bit more knowledgeable than auto-zone around here at least and buy them.

In the dorman help section... they sell a kit with straps and the bolts. Buy the two sizes, eye them up, return the unopened wrong size kit... I just did this last week


I know 1000% the head is 8 mm

Go to any Mopar dealer and tell them what it's for and get factory bolts. Replaced all my dear suspension bolts and they got them all for me with nothing more than a year, make, and model.
