Honestly, from what I have read, just about any shocks... My brother in law just put on some bilstiens and they ride pretty nice. They ride about the same as my Rancho 9000s. I like my 9000s because they are adjustable. Not saying they are the best but I like them.

Put a 150-200 lbs in your hatch area and see how it rides before you go dumping money into some new shocks. I keep a tote full of fluids, tie downs, jumper cables and a tow strap in back at all times, when i take it out there is a noticeable difference in how it rides.

I run zone nitrogen shocks and im impressed with the ride. I would definetly run a nitrogen shock instead of a ol plain jane gasser
