Thanks for all the helpful replies guys. I really appreciate it. We wound up undoing the trackbar and getting spring compressors. I put everything back to stock, reconnected the trackbar and then doing the compressors. What we spent 4 hours doing, took 1 hour to undo and complete the right way with the right tools.
Now from helping my friend and learning how this has to get done, my lift is going to be that much easier. Can't wait to get it started! Just need to decide which kit I am going with.
I can always count on this forum to guide me to the right place. Between all the threads to search though and the knowledgeable members all a few seconds away. I was underneath the XJ, cursing and screaming, and I was getting helpful responses right on my phone. So glad that I joined this community!
