Default axle not drooping to install springs

Hey guys. I'm in the middle of installing a 3 inch rough country lift on my friends XJ and we cannot get the axle to droop enough to get the new spring on the passanger side. We got the driver side on with some persuasion from a 48 inch prybar. Also, the shocks are disconnected and so are the front swaybar links. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Trackbar is still attached. Directions didn't say to disconnect. We just removed the lower control arm. Will try trackbar if this don't work.

This is what we did, also not very safe but very effective ratchet straps to compress the springs. Otherwise go to the nearest parts store, buy a compressor and return it after you're done

well on our jeepspeed racer we remove and reinstall coil springs all the time .. never had a problem ... you do not need a spring compressor . just remove the shocks , track bar and you should hvae plenty of room to work with . floor jack helps wonders ...

Definantly don't use ratchet straps.. Sorry but those coils carry the weight of the car and if they were to come un done... Jack one side of the axle up as high as you can and the other side will go down. You can rent a coil compressor if you have to. Unbolting the track bar will also help a lot.

I have never used a spring compressor to install springs no matter the lift height/

remove shocks and trac bar and youll have plenty of room

I rented strut compressors (they worked better) from autozone the day before my lift. $50 and then a full refund when you return them.
