Default Another DW question.

It shows up at a certain speed; nothin else needed like a bump or anything. I have watched all the videos and read the threads but just about all of em state the trac bar is the culprit. I have a new adjustable trac bar the I used a pipe on to make sure it is tight. Can not find any slack in any of the steering links or Ball joints. I’m going to get my tires balanced to see if that’s a problem. Alignment seems to be fine as it doesn’t pull when goin down the road. Suggestions and comments appreciated.

If that's your thought, remove it and drive on it. It's still safe, just be cautious on turns.

Balanced the tires...did not help. Around 45mph she begins to shake violently.

I used to get DW at 45 and when i got to 50 or tapped the brakes it went away. I never really pin pointed the culprit but i can say that I made a few mods and it went away:

1. 1" drop on my transfer case. I straightened out the driveline.
2. Went from a XJ to a ZJ pitman arm
3. Changed tires. The old tires seemed to be rounded in the center of the tread - almost as if the tires were over inflated maybe? I picked out a set of tires that had more of a flat tread at the proper psi. I know that sounds weird but it just made sense in my mind.

After that ... DW disappeared.

Are you lifted? Usually improper track bar angle or worn bushings are the culprit. Just because you can’t move stuff around by hand doesn’t mean it’s not worn out. Also put a good stabilizer on and it will help.
