I have an exhaust leak that is making my brand new o2 sensors read on the electric reader thing at auto zone read as bad sensors and leak. Is the leak why it says my sensors are bad?

looks like I have a couple bucks for exhaust. so here's the plan. going for life span and cooler, not performance and sound here
-APN header with d.i.y ceramic coating
-2.5" exhaust heat wrapped to the cat
-mandrel bent down pipe
-8" of flex pipe
-high flow cat
-2.5" pipe dumped before the rear axle
-no dumb muffler. I know what it sounds like. I like it
comments?

Need recommendations for replacing complete OEM exhaust on '97 Cherokee Sport - 4.0, 4WD, Auto, 4DR, 187K mi.
The cat in my son's XJ is rattling, the u-bolts holding the rest of the pieces together have almost rusted away. I'm thinking of buying a complete exhaust system (including cat) for his Christmas present. Should look cool under the tree, yes?
What do you guys recommend for an inexpensive after-market replacement? Looking for quiet performance with good MPG. Thanks in advance.
p.s. I searched the thread but was confused by the results.

What?!?! Why would you say that?
I know that if i spend almost $400 on a header, i dont want it to break at the collector like they always do if you are even remotely hard on it in 4lo... That was Chryslers problem from the factory, no flex pipe...

If you're planning on manifold back I'd start with the APN header, cheap, steel, great quality and I believe a lifetime warranty. For the down pipe someone else is going to have to chime in. You could just go with a rockauto DP for cheap but I bet someone else knows of a 2.5 inch DP here. Get a magna flow hi flow cat and performance curves 2.5 ich cat back with the flow master 44.

but if i can find a decent priced APN header i would go with it, is there much of a difference between the 2? i know APN has the lifetime warranty but besides that they look just about, exactly the same..any thoughts?
