Yea I know how you feel lol. The 44 is deeper aggressive while the 40 is just loud aggressive.

getting a flowmaster and new tailpipe for christmass!!! but what should i get? the super 40/44? i have all stock, so 2.25" pipe. people say that upgrading everything from 2.25" to 2.5" makes a huge difference but i dont have the money to replace all the piping and the cat.. does a flowmaster, or any muffler, with 2.25" piping still sound good, deep and loud? is it worth it??

i really want to order from performance curve but i noticed that they only have 2.5" for the super 40/44. so i was also wondering if i can get an adapter to go from 2.25" to 2.5".

idk what do you guys think

You can get and adapter, I would save up for the bigger tailpipe.

Wouldn't the 2.5" just slip over the 2.25" pipe then you can get it welded on? Are both of these measurements od or id?

You can, I just assumed he doesn't weld. Personaly I flange and clamp everything, since I've ruin my exhaust 3 times.

i just looked, i found adapters thatl fit a 2.25 to a 2.5. pretty cheap. so ill end up getting a muffler with a 2.5 in/out. with the adapter coming from the cat, then a 2.5" pipe right out the back of the muffler to the rear of the jeep.

I just take mine to a place called mad hatter (a local exhaust shop) charged me $60 to cut off my old muffler, weld in a 3" pipe, and weld in my 44. Plus it only took them 20 minutes and they were very busy. Once thy were done they took me into the bay and showed me exactly what they did and did not try to tell me I have any problems. Quality shop for sure; they have secured my business there.
