Serious exhaust question;
The exhaust manifold bolts to the exhaust pipe that then bolts to the cataylic converter. I have a rather large dent in the pipe just aft of the exhaust manifold where the two bolts and gasket are (on the cataylic side). Is this something I should be concerned about?

Thought I would let people in here know about my for sale thread. Flowmaster super 44 for $50 check it out https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f74/fe...4-50-a-152366/ let me know if this is illegal to do just thought it would fit in here
Check out my post. Definite power gain. The down pipe and the dent restrict a lot of exhaust. The down pipe is cheaper than a header. The link I also posted shows Flowmaster doesnt have a lot of horse power gain. You posted more power. So, look into another muffler. Again, read the link I posted. There is a link there where 3rd party tested all the mufflers.

Long answer? Power gain is power gain, no? Its like asking which weight more, 2lbs of feathers, or 2lbs of sugar.
Am I to assume you think there is no gain on a 4.0 only a 5.0l? lol

I was thinking of doing an exhaust a little while ago, so I looked up ones on you tube and they all seemed to have a ricer sound to them. I was wondering if it was just the videos or if it does have a ricer sound to it. I know that someone has probably asked this before but don't have the time to read through 56 pages lol

Here is couple of universal exhaust kits lower part of the page of link shared for pretty cheap(universal fit may need to do some modification, I did).
I purchased the Magnaflow Exhaust has a decent mid range rumble definitely louder but not overbearing. Solid performance gained about 2.7 mpg out of it as well.
