All Lift & Tire questions go here!!!
I used my stock main leaf and used three leaves out of an e-150 van leaf pack. You can use ford truck leaves just the same.Ford spring's work well cause they are the same width and not much thicker at all.I ended up grapping 4'' of lift with the van leaves. And believe it or not,it ride's nice and flex'es nice.I used rusty's 4 to 5 inch lift shock's(33.00 a peice)but you can take measuremnts and try to find shocks that could work.most likely be kind of hard, but ive herd of people doing it.You can also try to find longer shackles for the rear.
As far as the front goes, spacer's are pretty cheap and ive herd grand cherokee's have longer coils, but that might be a specific model. That's one route, there's also block's,but I hate block's broke two diferent sets.
good luck

I decided to go with a 30x9.5x15 on mine.. I have a 3 " lift but with the stock rims offset this installer that I have known for 15 years told me there is a chance of rubbing. I have a 98 Cherokee and it appears you need brake line extensions for the lift. Hope this is helpful.

What brand of leaf springs did you install? Did you install them correctly? If the leaf packs are meant for your XJ you should be able to install them without moving the axle or driveshaft.

Hi, I am going to do a 4.5" or 5.5" Long arm kit on my '93 xj. just wondering if you guys had any preference of these two brands. My buddies tell me that RE is the way to go but lets have your $0.02.

If it's between ProComp and RE it's RE. Now if it was me there are better long arm kits out there then both.
Well...I was looking at the Grabber AT2's...but I decided to get the 30 9.5 15 Prospector A/T's. They are "American" brand and made by cooper. I read some good stuff about them. They are remarkably similiar to the Toyo's and they blow away the Pathfinder Trail A/P's that were on it! Smooth on any road, firm agile turns, comfortable.. much quieter ride... I like alot! I will give you more of an update as I break them in a little! I think my next tire is going to be a bit bigger on some badder *** wheels but these fit the budget pretty well. I even got $200 on craigslist for my pathfinder tires that had hardly any miles on them! What a deal! ;-) I am all smiles! -Keith

You definitely need new lower control arms and upper control arms would be a good idea aswell. Every 4.5" kit I see comes with both upper and lower control arms since you need the added length for proper axle position. Also consider control arm drop brackets to reduce the angles of the control arms.

As for your second question I am not sure exactly what you are asking? If you mean driving at 4.5" without new longer control arms I don't know as I haven't done it.
