I know the RE 3.5 is closer to 4"+ when all said and done?

I have no problem running a 31" tire but I don't want a undersized 31 if that makes sense.

 

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will go for a complete kit. Just a few more questions about the lifts.. Is doubling the price of rough country's kit for the full leafs worth it (compared to the aal)? Could I get the aal kit and then do a bastard pack instead or would that be dumb? And what makes the rough country kit more expensive than rustys? Will an adjustable track bar be necessary and will it come with the kit?

 

Full packs are definitely worth the extra expense. They ride much better and won't sag over time like an AAL. You could certainly get the AAL kit, sell that AAL and make your own pack.

Sitting at 7.5" in the rear with 4.5"springs 1.5"shackles and relocation brackets. I want to be around 6. Any ideas

 

To high? Not a normal issue around here haha. Maybe a smaller shackle?

hey all, new here, so i figured id make this my first post since i have to diagnose a death wobble situation. i owned this 1988 chief for from 06-09, sold it for 1k, it will be back in my driveway as of 6pm tonight. Anyway since i have to fix DW, and get rid of the sag in the rear, im planing to do a 3" lift since the front will be under review... Im only payin $400 this time around, and i dont even know the current mileage but i dont want to drop $1k minimum to get to 4.5", i dont want re 3.5" because SYE and cv, i was wondering what kit would give a little bit up a rake, cause thats the look im going for. So pretty much nothing with AAL... pretty much hoping the track bar is shot and the bolt holes arnt f'd on other components.....

Couple quick questions. First off thanks for the advice on the lift I purchased the IRO 5.5 Critical Path Long Arm kit earlier today and am now trying to decide on wheels and tires.

The first question I have is, I've looked around at the big name websites for a tire and wheel package but nothing really jumps out at me. I like the MT Classic II's but i'm not quite sold on the polished but untreated finish. I definitely don't want Chrome. Is there a site anyone has dealt with or recommends for sets of wheels and tires? Preferably one that will mount and balance. I looked in the vendors section but didn't see any deals atm.

Second question has to do with backspacing but that will all depend on wheels I select. But lets take the MT classic II's 16x8 for example, they claim to have +0 offset. If I want to run 33x12.50R16 would I need wheel spacers to get the wide aggressive look or would that create clearance issues with the fender?

Is there a ideal backspacing for 33x12.5's?

 

Congrats on buying from an increadible company. Now enjoy the jaw dropping flex. Make sure you take care of iro, they will do the same to you. Need any help installing it let me know i have the exact same lift. I recomend going to the dealership now and getting new bolts for the leaf springs, the ones that go into the body. And a torch. Fire is fun and will save alot of anger.

 

Summitracing.com for wheels. Tirerack.com for tires. You'll save a bit of money if you go with 15"rims too. I run 16s now and I'm thinking about going back to 15s when I get tires just bc its cheaper
