What are some alternatives for rusty's leaf spring replacement bushings, rusty's want 60 for the bushings then another $25 for the shipping, so i am looking for some other options

I have a Stock 92 XJ and it's had a set of 215/75/15 Goodyear Wrangler APs on it since 1996. I checked the tires today and noticed that I have some dry rot so I guess its time to replace. I know that some of the 97+ XJs came stock with 235/75/15s so I was wondering if I could run a set of those. Could I do the 235s without an issue? Could I go any bigger than that even?

I am running 235/75/15s with no rubbing at all with a stock suspention. You should be fine and they do fill the wheel wells.

Never heard of 235's offered from the factory.

But yea, 235's shouldn't be a problem.
I ran 30/9.5/15's on my 93 when it was stock. Didn't rub during dd, but did at full stuff

Yeah after being used to having 31s on my other XJ, I just think the little 215s look stupid on my 92. I definitely am looking to fill the wheel wells a little more. Thanks for the advice

I probably wont go the 30 route. I use my 92 as my hunting vehicle during deer season. I'll probably run into a situation where i'll have to flex it a little and I don't want to tear a fender off haha

I have always run the 235, only got some rub because my leafs were resting on the bumpstops

Can someOne make me a list of every thing I would need to do after I installed my lift, ie brake lines and such, for a zone offroad 3" lift, I have the 8.25 and do a little wheeling, but mostly muddin I have 30s now, what could I fit on there without trimming? (I did do a search but nothing solid came up)

You'll need new shocks and that's it man...u can use the stock lcas and brake lines...I did that setup for a while...and with 3" u can fit 31x10.50's...without trimming...

Sure i'll make you a list. I'm running the Zone Offroad 3inch with a set of 31s on my 96. I'm running the stock brake lines right now and they will work fine but they do have a little more tension in them. Im going to upgrade mine to steel braided cables when I get the money so I would upgrade them if I were you. You will also need new sway bar end links because odds are you will snap them trying to take them off during lift installation. 31/10.50/15 will be the largest tire you will be able to run without trimming. If you still have the stock wheels, I would recommend either running spacers, or getting a set of wheels with some backspacing because you don't want to rub on anything in full lock. I had to trim the insides of my fender flares with a razorknife because I would rub just by backing down my driveway and I'm running wheels with plenty of backspacing. Good luck man, hope you love your lift!

You might need a SYE at about 4 to 4.5" of lift.
