Quick question. I should be installing my lift in the next few weeks, but I haven't ordered axle degree shims yet. I will be running RE 3.5" leaf packs, RE 1" lift shackles, Rugged Ridge SYE, and a stock front drive shaft. Should I go with 4 or 6 degree shims? I know that ideally I should install the lift then check the angle. But this is my DD so the complete lift will have to be done in a four day weekend and I'll need to have all parts on hand. Thanks in advance for any info.

You know you can drive around in 4WD without the rear DS, right? In the XJ community we call this...
Wait for it...

Front wheel drive huh? Wonder why y'all call it that?

I know that an xj can be F.A.P'ed (front axle propelled). But to what extent? I drive a 50 mile round trip every weekday. With the average shipping from most places taking around a week that equals.....um....wait.....ummm dammit.....a lot of miles. Will it be safe for the drivetrain to F.A.P a Heep that far? Has anyone ever ran one that long in F.A.P drive?
