Cheaper? What about upper control arms, lower control arms, brake lines, and the increased strain on the steering?

This is true. I always assume everyone has aftermarket control arms and longer brake lines.

I still have yet to do SYE. Gears are next for me. Poor transmission.

Anyone seen any good deals/specials on tires recently? Or know of any coming up? Figured with the hollidays there'd be some good deals around.

Looking specifically for BFG's or duratracs.

Hey guys new to the site and to lifting my cherokee. I bought a teraflex 2" spacer lift and a 2.5" RE full length add a leaf for my jeep.

I have been looking at 31s and this jeep will not be doing much off roading at all, mainly a DD. I saw some cheaper MTs by cooper that are 32x11.5 however the actual measurements are 31.3". Most marketed 31s are around 30.5 - 30.8 which would make the 32" coopers only about 1/2" larger. Will these work ok on my jeep since flexing wont really be typically done? They will be mounted on 15" jegs baja 8s with 3.75" BS.

With the XJ at ride height (on the ground) you measure the distance between the transfer case output yoke (SYE) and the axle pinion yoke. Minimum travel range you want is about 1.5", so if you measure 33" between yokes you want a shaft that runs a minimum of 31.5" compressed and 34.5" extended. More range is better, especially when lifted.

you're gonna scrub some. My 32's scrubbed the fender flares and the inner fenders at 3". If you don't mind cutting plastic then you'll be fine on the road.

I dont mind cutting some plastic. I figure i could remove the front bumper caps at a minimum. This jeep will be used mainly for street use and in the snow. No flexing for the time being. What other "plastic" would i need to trim. I dont mind trimming up plastic just dont want to cut into the sheet metal.

the front inner fenders will get eat up if you don't trim them or take them out (recommend removal) and the front fender flares will rub while steering
