I believe in a 2wd your chances of getting vibrations are very low.

PM 94xjsport94(he's also in the header of the forum from winning COTM). He was 2wd for a long time at 4.5". He would know better.

To alleviate having to use no spacers on the front to match the new rear Heavy Duty LP. I really don't want to go much more than stock at this point, because I don't want to many mods or headaches from lifting. I've been reading, studying, thinking and repeat. I came across the "ZJ & XJ" Front "Spring Swap" and came up with the idea. Just want to know if it will be a success. Thanks for any input.
No clue what kind of leafs those are. If you just bought them, return them? And get the proper 3" leafs?

The ZJ spring I would assume is going to net you about 2.5-3". Normally the springs do 1.5-2" so if you add the 1" for up country then there you go.

From what I understood, the Heavy Duty replacement packs by Quadratec or EMU would give a little lift to the rear, an inch or so.Thats why I thought to use the ZJ coil swap to even it out. I want a little beefier suspension with a small lift. Figured from what i've read this would be my best bet to stay as close to stock as possible.

The ZJ V8 coils already give 1.5-2" of lift. Not including the up country package.

Quick question, do the stock XJ's sit higher in the rear than the front, my buddy just gave me his unused budget boost and it is 2" rear and 3" front... is this right?

I'm looking to lift my XJ by ~4".

What is the proper method to pick a leaf spring and/or shackle? Is the only objective a 45 degree shackle angle?

Would a 3" leaf spring + 1" extended shackle provide a better shackle angle than a 4" leaf and the stock shackle?

Thanks for your time

The standard way to go is a 3" leaf pack with an extended shackle.

Will a 36x12.5 TSL fit in the rear of my Jeep with 3.5" lift and stock steel wheels? Im looking at running these TSLs all the way around but worried about fitment in the rear even with the fenders cut and folded.

Will zj leaf springs work as a lift option for the rear on a 98 XJ? I plan to do the front coil swap so if I can get the leafs while I'm at it that would be great. Thanks for the help
