But...33s will kill your jeep with stock gears, it'll be pretty gutless thats why I didn't put 33s on mine because I didn't want to throw a grand into regearing. I'd stick with 32s at the most but thats just my opinion

I've been looking round and cant seem to find a proceedure for adjusting the steering stops. I wedged some 34" tires under my jeep, and even after the lift Im planning Ill still rub the frame. I dont want to get new rims or wheel spacers unless someone has a trail safe way to make them for under $50. I've noted that the inside frame/uca rub is common and to adjust the stops, but no threads on how.
Is there just a threaded stop for each side I've not noticed or do you have to tear apart the steering box?

I was wondering on lifting the rear, i already have a front coil and rear spring lift, and i want another 2.25 inches in front (i found the coil spacers) and rear i was planning on getting 3 inch blocks, im coming from the world of full size pickups and dont have a problem with blocks but im open to shackles too, any info between the two would be great and maybe a link to rear shackles that will lift my rear at least 2.5 inches would be very helpful.

I'm new to the Jeeping community and right now my entire jeep is stock. I was looking to put a small lift on it and I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about lifts and what to do in general. I did some research and I was looking at like a 2" or 3" lift to put on my XJ. What would be decent tire size for a lift like that and if you have any other advice to PLEASE feel free to tell me.
plus a friend who knows a little about cars in general said that if I put larger tires on I would have to make an engine modification otherwise my XJ would get sluggish and slow. Is that true and if so what should I do?

I'm new to the whole modification side of the XJ's, but have owned several stock before. I've installed a Rough Country 4.5" lift and 31x10.5x15 BFG AT's. My question is, if I go with a 32, or even a 33 tire, do I need to do anything to the differentials to compensate? I'd much rather not blow it up. Lol. Dana 30 front, Chrysler 8.25 rear.
I'm sure this is a frequent question.(sorry) Any info is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

Also look at this http://www.4lo.com/calc/geartable.htm if you are going to do any re-gearing it is a big help. As I understand it even if you have an auto tranny this chart is accurate.
Alright, this is a big thread and I've searched about 20 pages of it looking for answers to the questions I have and have come up with mixed responses so I figured I would just ask what I have.
I'd like to fit 32's on my jeep without trimming fenders and without a body lift. The suspension lift I'm looking at can be found here:
http://www.rubiconexpress.com/Suspen...px?part=RE6130
Here's where my questions come in. Transfer case lowering kit or slip yoke eliminator? Should I swap gearing? The lift is predominantly for looks with occasional weekend trailing. This is going to remain my daily driver btw. I have a 98 Cherokee Sport with 30x9.50 BFG All Terrains on it, stock everything. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. A different lift is not out of the question (cheaper, smaller, etc.) To keep the thread responses low feel free to pm me.
