I'd say its impossible, my 10.5 inch wide 33s rubbed the back bottom part of the front fenders when turning I'm sure an 11.5 inch wide 32 tire would too. I only HAD to trim a little, but it would look dumb to just trim a little.

You'd have to trim ALOT of the flare off. My flares were already trimmed a good bit when i test fitted my 32's on my 3" lift with the stock flares in place. The back would have worked, however the front fender and flare would probably need to be cut below the headlight bezel.

Was that the inside or outside of the tire that rubbed...and at full turn? If it was the inside of the tire the width would be a non-factor, assuming BS is equal (I plan on 3.75" BS). The outside would still be an issue, but the smaller diameter may negate it...

Would adjustable control arms allow you to position the axle slightly more forward to clear the back of the fender?

I apologize for the dumb questions...but I'm an engineer so I'm prone to convincing myself I can make bad ideas work, haha!

I wouldn't mind doing that, cutting the flare and fender flat-even with the bottom of the header panel and removing bumper end caps. Its the pre-97 fenders so they go down behind the end-caps.

I just don't want to remove the whole flare. I don't mind cutting it so its essentially the same shape as the 97+ flares...instead of wrapping under into the air damn...

Adjustable arms might help, I've never had bumper caps, so I don't know if there would be problems in the front of the wheel wells. Mine are on 3.75 inch bs.

What would happen if I put 4.5 inch shocks on a 3 inch lift?

The best thing to do would to be to find a set of 32's to try on and see what touches.

Depends on the tire size and your bumpstops, if you run enough bumpstop, you will be alright, I can run6 inch lift shocks on a 3.5 inch lift with my bumpstop setup.

How about bump stops? You will **** the shocks up if you don't limit the up travel so that the shock doesn't act as a bumpstop. Id put the shocks on, flex until they are 3/4 of an inch from fully compressed, and measure for bumpstops, the 3/4 inch will allow for the little bit of squish when the bumpstop hits whatever you use as a spacer. I used hockey pucks, cheap and easy.
