I bought a set of adjustable upper and lower control arms for the XJ since the PO lifted 4.5" on stock arms.. But my question is, how do I know what length I want to adjust them too?
Is there a rule of thumb per inch of lift?
Up front it has 3" RC lift coils with 1.5" spacers.
Thanks!

adjust the lowers until your wheel is centered in the wheel well...

adjust the uppers to get your caster correct

this is close but might be a little off

Does anyone know if the lengths in this chart are center to center of the bolt holes?

Bringing this back from the dead here. The link is busted and I'm having some track bar binding issues and suspect that the instructions from RC were not correct for my lift and was hoping for some guidance on how long to make these things. I don't really care to adjust my control arms more than once if I can help it.

Right on. Thanks for that link. I've already got the arms adjusted to 16.5'' as suggested by the chart so I guess I'll just have to knuckle up and adjust the arms a couple times to see if I can get it right so my track bar isn't binding on the mounting bracket anymore.

My RC adj arms are 16" eye to eye. Caster is within factory spec at 7.1 degrees. I'm at 4.5" as well

I'm on the RC 4.5'' X Series lift. At the 16.5'' eye to eye adjustment my track bar is rubbing the mounting bracket on the axle as if it (the axle) is too far to the back of the rig. I can post pics when I get home to see what you guys think.

Created a new thread to keep this one accurate. Problems regarding the track bar binding are here:
