3" RC or mixed 4.5" lift w/ RE Leaf and Springs?
Looking to pull the trigger on purchasing my lift.
I like the look of LCOG lifts. at 3" I could get that look with 31" tires I already have. Looking at getting a full leaf pack either way.
Most of you have seen the series II RC 3" lift. With full leafs that $610.http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3x.html
I'm also liking the www.seriousoffroadproducts.comfrom him I could get my 4.5" Rubicon coils and full leafs for $379.36
Then piece in RC scratch and dent. It comes with...
Kit Contents:Front: lower tubular control arms, solid tubular transfer case drop kit, sway-bar links and brake line relocation brackets.
Rear: LIFTED SHACKLES
Shocks: Includes (4) RC NITRO 9000 series shocks. That'll part of the package would be about $190 Shipped. Total $570 Shipped....
What would you guys do?

Not need the shackles. They just come with the package off of Ebay.

I have the 3 inch RC lift, and well after only being in my Jeep for about 4 months of street driving it's already sagging over half an inch!!! The RC kits are a good entry level kit if you just want to lift a little, but not real thrilled with the sagging after only being installed for a few months.
I am removing it and installing an RE 4.5 lift next week once I get my shocks. I too was thinking that I would be happy with the 3 inch lift and might have been if it wasn't sagging, but after seeing a few other XJ's running around my area I wanted the 4.5 lift. So I ordered it and can't wait to get it installed.

I'm gonna go with the 4.5" mixed lift. With RE coils and full leafs mixed with RC shocks and control arms.
I'm trying to but cost. Going with higher quality coils and Leafs should ensure a better foundation.
What all do you folks see me needing on top of the stuff I have listed? Brake lines? U-bolts?

If you ae going to wheel it, you will need brake lines.
You also need an adjustable track bar if you go to the 4.5" kit.
Always replace your U Bolts when you take them off, they are designed to only be used once.

you might consider ....
• SYE slip yoke eliminator kit
• CV drive shaft
• swaybar quick disconnects
• track bar
• longer break lines
how much wheeling are you going to be doing ?
