Default AC Fan Speed

Anyone ever increased the AC or Heater fan speed? I would like a dial 5 in my 2000 XJ

Sadly for you ...4 is direct voltage...you might have airflow blockage inside the dash or somewhere on the inlet side if really poor airflow

should be a way to induce more voltage to the fan I’ll have to think about this

Wire up the fan to an 18v batt with a toggle switch. Charge it every night.

Put the fan on high and see what the voltage is at the blower motor if it is not the same or close to the battery then maybe you can add a relay to it .

12v to 18v or 24v adapter then a few diodes to keep the higher voltage from feeding back and of course replacing the fan every few months after burning it out from feeding it more then 12v.

Great idea.

Also, be sure there is no rodent infiltration at the blower motor wheel.

If your not pushing enough air on 4 the problem will not be fixed by spinning the fan set to 11... you have blockage or broken ducting somewhere in the dash
