Default 98 xj gear question

Ok, so I recently purchased my first truck, a 98 xj, I've got a set of 35s I'm gonna put on it and plan on putting some 4.56 or 4.88 gears in it, I know I need a new carrier for the front for either of them, what I asking is what would the cheapest place to get some quality gears for this thing because I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, I'll be installing them myself so I won't have to worry about paying a shop, I have a Dana 30 hp front and a new c 8.25 for the rear, the one that's in it now is welded, also, I live in NC, 4.56 or 4.88 for a DD? thanks for any input

you don't say if your XJ is lifted or not, those 35's gonna need a bunch of clearance. Trimming fenders ain't gonna get it either. Are you running the stock steering? With 4.56's you will find the transmission searching on some inclines, 4.88's are the way go with 35 inch tires. Hey, while you are doing ring and pinion what about lockers/limited slip ?

I've already got it on 35s just planning on rear gearing, it's on about 8" of lift

4.88 minimum for an auto with OD. Go with Revolution Gears. You don't want to cheap out on those.
