tried to do the swap today, having alot of trouble with them. looks like one of is bad and wont close, I have a leak from the intake at that injector, and when i pulled the rail the injector wouldnt stop squirting gas. Going to pick and pull on tuesday, gona pick up another injector and replace it. It also seems to be running rough, hoping thats because the injector is open.

Make sure you oil the o rings and CHECK them also before they go in, your problem sounds like an o ring leaking. I had a chunk out of mine, I'm pretty sure I did it putting thr injector in, so make sure you get plenty of oil on the ring before it goes in.

I am going to do a 784 swap in my 2000 xj just waiting on the little plastic caps to get here.

My question is ..the metal clips that hold the injectors on to the rail look pretty rusted. Im afraid when I pop them off they are gonna break.. any ideas on how to get them off carefully and where I might be able to get some extras in case they do break?

unlikely that they will beak, but if they do grab some more at the junkyard off a cherokee or neon or pretty much any other Chrysler car/truck/van

Well, Ive read this entire thread over and over and I cant, for the life of me, find where it says "Use part number 'X' for your 1999". Am I completely missing it? Im doing a ton of work to my motor this summer and Id love to upgrade to something better. My current mileage SUCKS!

Not missing it at all. A simple forum search will give you the answer, but 'cuz I'm a nice guy, you need 784's for your '99.

Did you have to replace the fuel rail?
