I picked up a 8.8 with disc brakes and a LSD with 3.73. I'm going to install it the way it is, see how I like it coming from the 3.07, then determine if 4.10's are necessary. I seem to get around just fine with the stock gears, 31's and the 5 speed. I'm always in low range on the trail so the only time I'm hating the gears is when I pull my boat. I'm hoping the 3.73 will do the trick!

Are we just assuming its an automatic? What about tire sizes? Increasing the ratio will not help mileage unless its currently under geared due to over sized tires.

He's got 3.55 now. Autos have 3.55 and manuals have 3.07. So everyone's assuming it's an auto

Yup. I'm a happy camper with 4.10s and 32's

True. So we're giving recommendations based on assumptions now? Still no word on his tire size either... Just sayin.

Do you have front 3.73 gears already. The PO swapped a new axle under my jeep from a tow package and I have a 3.73 ring pinion. And carrier. I have a 5 speed and will be putting 3.07 back in it so I can enjoy 4x4 capabilities

No I have 3.07 gears, only a problem when towing or steep grades.
