Default 2000 XJ rear disc brake conversion?

I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport with a 8.25 rear end and the awful stock drum brakes in the rear. I’ve been considering doing a disc brake conversion/swap from a different Jeep. I’ve heard that the 95-98 Grand Cherokee rear discs are a good swap. I understand that you need the backing plate from the ZJ axle, along with the calipers with the soft line and of course rotors and pads. I’ve seen mixed opinions on changing out the proportional valve..? I also don’t entirely understand what to do with the parking brake cables if I did the swap. If someone could give me more information on this swap, or inform me of a possibly even better swap I would appreciate it. Thanks.
I’ll post a pic of my Cherokee below

Contact BigDavid here on Cherokee forum. He has complete kits. It's super easy to do and has been covered many times.
