Default 2000 XJ disc brake conversion

So I am about to start on some brake work. I need new wheel cylinders. Back left tire has a bad brake fluid leak. So I think I just wanna do a whole disc brake conversion. I am new to the XJ world and this will be the first time I've done any brake work but that's OK. First and foremost I am on a very tight budget. Everything will be from a junkyard. I can find plenty of write ups but am just wondering realistically what other people have paid to do this. Not sure what I'll be taking the parts from, will depend on parts I can find and overall cost. What has everyone paid for their conversions in the end?

Probably $150 at the cheaper end of things from the JY (rough estimate).

Really not that much, you should add $35 worth of brake cables to do the job properly though.

I believe I had about $65 in the swap. grab everything off the donor vehicle including but not limited to the backing plate bolts and wheel studs. I did not make an effort to keep the parking brake functional.

I paid $170 for the kit from Big Dave and then bought all-new pads, rotors and parking brake shoes as well as diff fluid and brake fluid for about $150. You'll probably want to buy all-new rotors, pads and parking brake shoes instead of using the junkyard parts. While you're in there, there's always the axle seals and wheel bearings you could do.

Or... you can spend maybe $50 on all-new drum parts and stop just as well.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sounds like I'm just gonna spruce up these drums instead of doing the conversion. Ive got other things to fix. Fearing I may have the dreaded 0331 issue. Losing coolant but I can't find it. Gonna clean my engine soon to see if its the waterpump or a seal. My oil pressure is good, 40 when driving and 30 when idiling. And just changed my oil and no sign of coolant in there. No overheating. Let's hope its not the head.
