No offense to xjs but I would want a 4x4 12valve cummins. That way it can handle extra weight still has 4x4 and the mpg and fule would be easier to get. On my 98 I get 500 miles a tank so with an extra 50g in the bed you can drive a long time

 

Would definately need to convert to a diesel since it doesn't go bad. And you can run bio diesel.

 

never thought about zombies are not real and never will be its a myth... i personally dont see a zombie rising except in hollywood movies

I think I would wait out in my house for a while. My xj would stay as is and only be used to relocate or search for supplies. I would put the hurricane shutters down and park the jeep in the garage to have a better chance of getting the family in. I have plenty of ammo for my sub2000, ps90 and 10/22 and would work on fortifying my house. After the initial panic and chaos would probably be the best time to venture out.
