So my buddy thinks his blazer is better than an xj any thoughts? I'm about to show him how xj's roll here soon any ideas to help me show him what's up?

probably gonna get smashed with a fullsize 70s k5 blazer but the jeep will stomp it out in the trails

 

but heck they rust faster then Cherokee's lol

 

If it's the small blazer I know they have crappy IFS that eats up ball joints.

 

Its like a 98 2 door with ifs his only defense is his welded rear end... And his claim that the v-6 vortec is better than the I-6....

 

Till it blows an intake gasket lol

The I6 has more torque lower in the RPM range than the V6. Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races. You want low end torque for off road, the I6 has it. But that is just the engine, your XJ will out wheel a crappy IFS Blazer any day of the week.
