Hey all, I need just some quick advice on searching.

I've searched here and google and all the normal sites, but I have been digging through thousands of ads all selling the same thing.

I DO NOT WANT a dash pad....that cover that goes over my dash. I want the actual dash to replace my cracked dash.

When I look up 1989 Jeep Cherokee XJ Dashboard on any site, I get 2 million hits for the cluster, vents, stereo surrounds, and the dash pad covers.

Anyone know where I can get a new, reman, good used, uncracked dashboard?

Found a few on Jeep Cherokee Dash Parts e bay.
Have never found a reman.
I pulled an uncracked instrument panel cover for my 89, from my parts 89.
An 89 Comanche is also same.
Have you tried local auto recyclers (wreckers yards?)

 

Have not been to the yards yet, too freaking cold, but wanted used as a last resort.

 

I would buy that whole one in black that you posted above, SteveMongr, but even that one has a crack along the front edge, and a nick by the windshield.

Can't believe it's this hard to find a really good one

 

Used is your only hope i know of,96 and older is what you need.
