Question Worst welder!!! Or not?

i have bought a chicago electric 90 amp flux wire welder from harbor freight about a week ago. The wire it comes with is the most crappy wire ive seen ever. SO i put some lincoln electric wire in it and seems to do okay.

Now i was trying to weld up some of my xj floorboard supports that i made and boy does this welder suck!

NOw mabye something might be wrong that i am doing but it has a wire feed ****, min/max switch, and an off/on. How much simpler can it be?

does anyone else have this welder because i could really use some help. IT keeps tripping my breaker and the inverter keeps making buzzing noises while laying down a weld. Also the welds look like crap and i am taking my time with it.

ive got the same welder, pretty sure its just crap, doesnt really have much amp control except min/max, wire feed control is alright, and ive come to dispise flux core wire (although im using the stuff it came with) maybe better wire would help, but my welds also come out really messy, and it gets messy as i weld and the mess prevents the weld itself from comming out alright.

next welder i get is also gonna be 120 volt, but with better amp control, and its deffinetly gonna have a gas hookup. i think thats my big problem.

I bought a crap 90 amp welder from O'reilly's a while ago, and it's been decent. It's basically the same thing as that Chicago Electric. I've found that the best way to get decent welds with it is to have the thing plugged in directly to GOOD power. No extension cords, and no crummy circuits. I plug mime into a circuit with a 20 amp breaker. As long as you have a good clean ground, FRESH CLEAN metal to weld, and take your time with a slow back and forth welding motion, it does decent. I weld with it on max power, and the speed's usually around 8.

I've had one about 6 years.... works pretty much fine for me. Decent wire and a clean work piece are the two big things with it. ALL flux core is sloppy looking if you are trying to weld dirty material. Also... decent electric supply. I put a circuit in my garage specifically for it. That helped a bit over running it off a 15 amp plug-in that was pre-exisiting.
