That's an older XJ though, they had a little more room in their fenders vs. the newer ones from what I can tell.

I had 31 on my 2000 for about t months before getting a lift. At full turns they will rub and don't try to flex Cuz you'll pop your front flares off and possibly bend the fender. But 31 with just normal driving that do fine. Consider cutting the flares along the top lip or get a lift. I just rode around with no front flares and did fine.
