If you're at stock height, you'll probably have to trim something. I'm at stock height in my '98 with 235's, and they are stuffed, and rub a little at full turn.

Sure, it'll clear.... until you hit a bump, or have to steer... or hit a bump while steering.

I'm running a 3" lift on 31x10.50x15's on my 2000. Had to trim away some of the bumper end caps so it wouldn't rub from steering. Then i had to trim away some of the bottom of the back of the fender flares so it wouldn't catch while steering. Even still if I hit a bump while turning, sometimes the tread will grab the flare.

Pics?

I should've clarified, mine only really rub when I'm backing up while turning tight and going over a bump. But, I'm installing flat flares so that issue will definitely go away soon (and hopefully so will the 235s)

Do a search for trimming fenders on a 97+ model. There are several different techniques, and you'll want to keep in mind that if you plan to add aftermarket flares, you may want to hold off on trimming. If you're going flareless, you have some options. Cut and fold, etc.

Best way to search is to go to Google and type site:cherokeeforum.com fender trimming 97 98 99 2000 2001

That's all a matter of opinion, and what your area's inspection laws entail. Some states require that the tire stick out no further than the flare.

From a quick Google search, it appears that they have no laws regarding fender flares. PA is more strict about it, but I know a few that don't run flares here, and as long as the tires don't stick out TOO far, I don't think they have had a problem with cops
