I know... and IMO the 4.0 was one of the most reliable engines ever made... hell of a base to build on.

Something thats actually possible:
4.6 Stroker w/ a supercharger or turbo. AW4 With lots of upgrades and a good shift kit, D60 full float rear, D44 front, NP242 Out of a Cummins, 35s/cut fenders, and 4.88s...

What I would LIKE to do:
Cummins 4bt or 6bt=More torque, better mileage..
383 stroker/454, 4spd manual, large cam, open headers=CRAPPY GAS MILEAGE, but more fun!

i'd have to agree with everybody voting on the 4bt the 3.9l cummins. with upgrades to the turbos and fuel systems this things will make 500ft lbs of torque. the 6 cylinder 5.9 or 6.7 is just to big of an engine IMO my family uses 3 in our tow fleet.

I would put in either the 6.1 liter hemi from a new challenger, or a new 3.0Liter diesel from the new grand cherokee
