I live near Toledo where the wrangler is made. They run 24/7 and can't keep up with the demand

They're worth what people pay for them.

Personally I don't want to pay that price for a secondary off road vehicle since I have a DD that doesn't see mud 90% of the time. I like my inexpensive XJ and even with mods I'm only in it for 5k so I won't whine if I get a fender bent or some scratches here and there.

I believe it. There's supposedly a national back order on 2-door models. Really hard to find them new since people ****** them right up when they hit the dealer lots.

Same as me. I've had my daily XJ for over 3 years. Got her all bone stock from the original owner for $3,500. Picked up a sweet deal on a project for $1,500 with a lift and off road bunkers, lift, and tire carrier & lockers already installed. Got her a few months ago. Trying to fix it up to make it my second daily.

I used to have a TJ. They are just so unpratical. If your not rockcrawling theres really no point to it. You cant fit crap in it, the noise is horrible on the highway etc. Im loving my switch to an XJ! I can do trails and carry my family of 4 and room for camp supplies.

This used to be my TJ which I sold to this guy which is a good friend of mine. I sold it to him 4 years ago as you see it in the pictures. The only thing he has done to it is added the locker, winch and BFG's which he took those off a parts truck he had. Even the extra tires and wheels I gave him when I sold it to him.

I sold to him for 8k and he's asking 11k which I have told him several times, good luck with that!! There isn't a great demand for 4cyl TJ's unless the price is REALLY appealing for someone just getting into Jeeps or wants to do an engine swap!

I agree 100%! He told me a guy offered him 12K for it and I replied "you didn't take it"? He said "well, he had 10K in his pocket and I told him to go home and get the other 2k"!

I told him that's when two fools met! 1- for offering 12K and 2- for you for letting him leave with 10K in his pocket!!

After switching to the JK, it seems to lack those problems with the TJ. If you need more space you can get the JKU, which is basically the same wheelbase as an XJ, and in terms of noise, the JK is whisper quiet.

True, I do like the JKU's but damn are they so pricey. My Chevy 2500HD 4x4 Duramax/Allison truck was probably the last vehicle over 30k actually 40k I'll ever buy LOL. I learned to love not having car payments. I'll stick to my XJ until I win the Lotto.
