I have a pair of tow hooks that I found in my garage but I can't find anywhere to bolt them on the front of my frame. So I just bought 2 D rings that fit in the biggest hole on the front but they don't fit very snug, what set ups do y'all have and what are my options I can do?
But they what? The suspense is killin me! Haha.. Umm, be careful just attaching to unibody. Consider getting some mounting plates for hooks. A little safer. Or a bumper w/ rings..

Watch what u wheel whilst not having a front recovery point. And be careful attaching anything to he unibody. Xj's dont have a frame. The unibody isnt as rough and tough as a frame. I would be concerned about the recovery effectiveness of one of these if you get stuck in something serious. I've seen cases of the unibody tearing. Could become a missile if not careful.
I debated these as well, but opted to wait to get a good solid winch bumper. Check out L&L in the vendor forum here on cf. Very solid bumpers and extremely reasonable prices. Mine is a recessed winch bumper and i got it to my door for $275. It is rock solid. Worth the wait imo.

I got this and will be welding hooks on both sides.

Plus you can add a hitch mounted winch and have numerous recovery points.
