Default wheel problems

I just notice after cutting my fenders that my front driver side tire sticks out further than my passenger side by about 1 1/2 inch. the tires are the same exact size tires and the rims are the same exact rims. I thought maybe it was just the way my fenders were but then I noticed the spacing between the tires and then coil springs are different. driver side there is more of a gap than the passenger side. what is causing this and how can I fix it?

lifted? if so, you probably need an extended track bar

You axle isn't centered. If it is lifted you will need a longer/adjustable would be your best bet. You could drill a new hole in the mount but that isn't the best option (just cheapest).

Mine is the same way, got a 3" lift and the driver side sticks out farther. Is it a problem or is it okay for now?

Get an adjustable track bar. That will fix yourproblem. As the jeep gets taller, it pulls the axle to the drivers side.

I have a 3" lift and used my stock track bar, well it shifted my axel to the left. My drivers side tire was sticking out. I put an adjustable trac bar on, and now my passenger tire is sticking out. Not as bad as the stock trac bar, but it's still noticeable. Hopefully from this thread I'll learn what I need to do to fix mine.

Sounds like the track bar you bought was for a bigger lift. they make different ones. 1-3inch lifts and then 4+ lifts. You may have the bar for the bigger lift.

either that or he adjusted the track bar too much if you only need to extend it a 1/2 inch and you extend it an 1 1/2 it's gonna stick out the other way

you may have adjusted too far if in fact you DID buy the right size track bar... not sure if you eye balled it or did it the right way but you gotta figure out what the difference is... measure from your coil spring to the outside of your tire. if your one side is lets just say 14" and your other is 12.5" you have a 1.5" difference so therefor you have to extend the adjustable track bar 3/4" more than your stock track bar

Thanks y'all, I think it's the wrong size track bar. A buddy from my Jeep club gave it to me. His Cherokee is bigger than mine, so I'm guessing the trac bar is for 4"+. I'll have to get the 1-3" trac bar. Rough Country doesn't sell that size, do y'all know which company does?

You're going to need a different trac bar

if you're gonna buy a new track bar I recommend iron rock..they have a heavy duty one that's good from 3" lift up to an 8" lift..It comes with the bracket and the bar For like $189.99 I think and I've heard a lot of great reviews for it

Yea I have an XJ. I talked to my buddy and he said the trac bar he gave me was for a 4.5" RC lift. I guess I'm going to have to look into iron rock trac bar. I'd like to center my axel again. It hasn't been centered since I installed my lift back in March.
