Hi everybody I hate to say this but I'm throwing in the towel for the xj's at least for now, I have an 88 xj its my daily driver I was just wondering what you'd think its worth.

The windshield needs replaced
It's got a 3" rancho lift on it (from what I can tell)
Has 31" fairly new good tread left
Orf front winch bumper
Later model mirrors
Cold air intake
Newer battery
New starter
New breaks
Aftermarket stereo deck
New fuel pump

Runs really good the 4wd is kinda finicky
Has 304k on him and had a engine rebuild at 250k
And yes the headliner is ripped
Also comes with extra set of axels and a spare gastank and doors, and loads of little things you can't buy at the store relays and such.
And gets about 17mpg never really had to take it on the interstate but when I did it felt fine kinda noisy like a jeep haha

It honestly depends on where you're from.. If you have paperwork on the engine rebuild, up here in MN you'd probably get around 1500-2000.

Check your craigslist. Since you may well be there, see where you fit. Check around for the price to replace the windshield, you might sell faster and get more than the repair cost.

I say 2k or best offer,If you don't get a offer close to 2k in a week or two lower it to 1800 or 1600.

Definitely depends on where you're from. If the body is in good condition (not rotted) and you have the paper work for the motor rebuild then I'd say a strong $2,000.

300k+ miles scares people away, even with the new motor. Everything else still has 300k on it.

Yes, you can always go down but you can't start low and go up.

Body has minimal rust a little in the trunk area where the tiedowns used to be and then some surface on the driver rear quarter pannel, I was quoted 200+ to fix the window. Seem like a reasonable price BTW I'm in Wyoming

Yeah that's about the going rate. Usually insurance will cover a windshield though.

Do the jack stands come with it???? 8-) Might increase the price a little, a lot depends on who did the rebuild and what parts were used in rebuilding the engine. Problems with the drivetrain and transfer case don't help a bit. Many will look at it as a parts XJ from what you describe on condition age and mileage.

At best I would say that it is a project and one you do not care to dump any more money into. Go on craigslist and look for a few weeks for XJ's close to yours and see what they are bringing for price (for sale by owner only) they price yours a little more than you expect to get you can't go up but always go down in price some.

Good luck my friend.

I just had a windshield installed in my daughters 01 for $193. So you are in the ballpark range!!

I had quotes from several from the $193 all the way up to $300!
