What should be next on the list?
Just lifted my 90 cherokee. 4.5" RE and got 33x13.50 super swampers (not my first choice but got 5 of them, 1 brand new the other 4 with about 70% tread for $600). I already have a D44 rear so I'm wondering what I should be saving my money for next. Thoughts so far.
1. Lunchbox lockers
2. Gears
3. Ball Joints (Don't NEED them, but I've heard after lifting its a good idea to replace them)
4. 1-Ton steering
5. Roof Rack
6. Front/Rear Bumper/Tire Carrier
Its not my daily driver, I drive it around town maybe 30% of the time and the other 70% goes to my patriot. I don't do any really heavy wheeling but I do like to camping frequently and where I go camping sometimes the highway/freeway has hills that go for a few miles (which is why I'm leaning towards gears) but I'm not sure what would be the best choice.
Anyone out there have any input?
Thanks,
Jake

I'd follow what these other guys are saying, but I'd put some decent lighting ahead of the roof rack. LED light bars are getting nice and cheap now.

Yeah right Frank I'm gonna get me one.........Sometime SOOON
Recovery points whatever they may be bumpers or hitch with a D-Ring and the gear to go with it. A Hi-Lift jack is a must have in my book to even change a tire and can be used for a winch (I have many times). This is the one thing that should have in the jeep first period, a First Aid Kit the best one your comfortable with using all it offers.
With that size of a tire my next investment would be gears (at the very least 4.56's & 4.88 aren't bad)/lockers. That size of meats I doubt that I would go with a lunchbox style locker go with something stronger. Do both at the same time gear/locker. The 4.56 gears will give you better mpg than the 3.55's for sure when I changed mine to 4.56's with my 33's my hiway/city mpg increased 5 mpg avg. off road was a very nice improvement. JMHO.
Full front end rebuild/upgrade those tires are big and heavy not just ball joints but TRE's and steering.
Roof Rack and bumpers/winch buy those when you have finished with the other items.

Ya I got highlift and first aid. Hitch as well, I just need to get the d-ring attachment. Should I get some tow hooks up front until I can buy a bumper? That way I'll have my recovery points then I can start doing gears and such. So no lunchbox locker eh? I was hoping I could get away with it so I didn't have drop 600/locker
