I got my 98 for nothing - gift from my son-in-law - he knew I was looking for something to pull my boat. Put on new tires and a new windshield - had it "safetied"
for Saskatchewan and I was on the road. Now it's my first choice to drive - I love it - new cars sit in the garage - this is the vehicle I choose to drive everyday.

a 2001 Sport in mint condition with all highway miles.. with all new parts for 2400.00 177k. Brand new brakes, exhust, shocks, tires.. Guy did not know about the TSP on the heat soak issue and his moron mechanic could not figure why would run like crap in hot weather.. he thought the engine was misfiring and did not want to deal with it. I did not know about the heat soak issue either when i bought it.. A little searching and for 7 bucks it works mint lol

Bought mine in '08 for 5500 off the dealership lot before the trade in for my wrangler. LOVE IT and often refuse to ride in or drive another vehicle so that i can be in my xj.

YELLOW!
i bought it with 107k on it, had a check engine light (EVAP issue, easily fixed lol) had 3.5" lift already installed (crappy block lift by tough country) had death wobble at 35mph) and the right front power window didnt roll down
they had it marked at $8,995 i got them talked down to 5600
so death wobble fixed at local suspension shop $500
Evap Problem fixed $0
Grill Guard from a 2wd jeep at a local dealer ship $150
Add-a-leaf (got rid of the blocks) $150
4 KC day-lighters...... with 4 BFG 31x10.50s $100
Tomken Bumper/tire carrier $1000
New NP231 T-Case $500
needless to say, almost everything around this jeep i have gotten for a pretty good deal lol

Year: I've had a few...
Model: Cherokee
Engine: A secret
$3100
1996 cherokee classic WHITE
31, but really 32s kevlar mtr's (BRAND NEW)
3 inch lift
204k
over time I determined it probably wasn't the original engine: had a 97+ temp sensor, newer motor mounts and a dent in the exhaust right after the header
minor rusting and a WASTED cargo area.
Looks like I had a few bent rods from a ride in a "puddle" (Thanks dad)
Lasted another 800 miles before a rod broke in half and shot the piston side threw the oil pan.
pulled out the lifter rods to cyclinder one and sealed the inject rail... lasted another week before I got a new engine
$200 for a engine and tranny with only 150k
