Picked up a mint bright white hood off a '92 to replace mine, which is functionally fine but has some big dents across the top

Took the drums off... Great example of PO tomfoolery.. The PO installed the adjuster backwards on the driverside. I'm hoping I can just pop it out and flip it without a full disassembly.

nice find! I need to check to make sure the auto adjuster is working on mine and if not, adjust them.

Tried to get a new radiator installed. Well, I got it installed but apparently the trans cooling line isn't seating properly and needs to be cleaned thoroughly or is broken, I can't tell which. But it's definitely pissing trans fluid when it's running, so I have to deal with that before I can get the new radiator filled completely and leak checked. I hear the quick connects are notoriously irritating, any guidance before I dive in?

I got the brakes on my XJ functional again but the drums are going to need a full rebuild and to add to the list the water pump has decided to start leaking. The joys of daily driving a 24yr old vehicle.

A $127 order to rock auto later and the parts are on their way.

Oh and I got the shipping confirmation on my 4.5 lift kit!

My first guess is there is a bunch of crud in there that you need to clean out.
Second guess is that you rolled the O-Ring in there when putting it on.

Waiting on my Rock Auto order as well. New clutch master and slave cylinder. Cherokee has been down for a few weeks now.

How do you guys justify using Rock Auto?
Their shipping prices are High and also it's a PITA if you have to sent something back...
I don't get it.

If my jeep was down, I wouldn't wait a week or more for parts.... Just go down to Auto Zone or Napa and be done with it.

I haven't bought new brake pads or shoes for the Jeep in 15 years...... Auto zone gives you a lifetime warranty..... I bring the old worn out pads back... with the box & receipt and they give me a brand new set. No Charge... Thank you.

I have used rock auto in the past..... but most stuff I can't justify the shipping.

I ordered everything I need to rebuild my drums for $126 shipped. Local parts stores want $60+ each drum alone. Easy math there.
