I found the tranny shifting harder, not that displeasing, but realized the tranny cable was already at it’s extended limit on adjustment before I lowered the throttle body by removing the spacer. I did manage to bend the support bracket a bit. Not as banging as it was.. Amazon seems to sell an aluminum version of this spacer, BTW..
HARRYHYDRO
I highly recommend it, it's pretty cool. How'd you like beautiful downtown Ballarat?
Beautiful downtown Ballarat has been taken over by a young couple who have remolded one of the old buildings and built new toilets - one of witch has a shower !
Actually last night................ But the dowel pins for the intake manifold were trashed when I tried to get them outta the old head for the new engine.
SO trying to find anything up here in the High Desert is next to impossible, let alone in todays world.
So........................ I needed new pins.
Found a clevis pin that was close to the same diameter to my dowel pins.
Chopped them up a bit, chucked them into a drill, and put a tapper on them like the factory ones.
They WORK!!!!!
I think we are coming into a time where we might have to do more of this kinda stuff to keep our rigs going soon???
Welcome to The New World Order AKA The Great Reset.

One Step Closer!
Today I got a lot of stuff bolted up in the engine bay, bell housing back on, windshield wiper mechanism rebuilt with new bushings, and dropped the tranny mount for a new one, and to bolt up the 231 skid plate.
Every dang nut, bolt, screw is being cleaned up, and checked before going back on the Jeep.
(Lots of new stuff!)
No where near Crist Clapper quality, but then again this Cherokee is a working/ trail rig.
Tomorrow Wiring harness.

I was poking around the jeep today making a list of things I need to order for the start of the restoration and came across this tag on the diff. Is it possible!? We will find out for sure when the time comes to pop off the cover.
The more I poke around this Jeep, the more of an odd ball it seems to be. Power nothing, bigger rear drums, tow package, originally gold paint and hopefully a LSD. It's got the pioneer package but I don't really know what that entailed for a 87 model.
And I found the goldmine! Every single maintenance record from 87-2014! Looks like that might be how long the original owner had it. To top that off, the window sticker and original owners manual.
Though often overlooked, this AMC grease seal has been used on Jeeps for years. Just remove the retaining bolts at the front U-joint, pull the assembly apart and pop it in.
Installed a Powertrax No-Slip locker in my C8.25 today. Also replaced the seals and bearings. It was very straight forward, making a sharpie line across the whole locker helped line it up correctly when installing.
So far so good! First 50 miles and it’s silent. Did a quick test on gravel and both wheels spun. So I guess it’s good to go!
Of course I forgot to take pics, but you’ve all seen it before.
