Shopped for new tires for 2014 JGC Limited. 44,000 miles on original Goodyear Fortera’s. Been happy with these tires but Looking for suggestions and opinions on replacement tires. Looking for low noise options. No off road use. Need all-season tires with good performance in snow - similar to how Forteras do in snow. Running 265/50/R20’s and will stick with this size. I get 35% off all Goodyear tires so that would be the smart move withGoodyears but I’m open to ideas. Anybody have smart opinions on a good tire for me?
I am thinking Goodyears?
I am sure a grand cherokee forum could handle that one.
nonsense! It was sunny in the 30s no wind. It felt better than it sounds.
Do you have heated seats? I installed Dorman kits in my LJ and love driving it in similar temps with the half doors on. Smaller "hole" than on your XJ though. lol. Last February I drove across town to get a new windshield. I didn't have one at all for the 3 mile trip. That was cold. I like the way you did yours btw. Nice lines.

My seats are from a Mazda Rx8 and have built in heaters. But I haven't wired them to work. Thank you on the lines.
These true blue Mopar radiator caps sure take a while to arrive and they ain't cheap either. 368,022 miles, replaced factory cap. Had another on there for a short time but had some coming up to temp problems, so went back to factory original cap and thermostat.
For those who don't know, the new Mopar caps say motorad on the side.
Cut out the rotted floor above the driver side front leaf bracket that allowed it to move up a little. Replaced with a piece of 1/8" sheet metal and tied it to the 2x6 rocker support.

don't have a pic of it... but just finished installing front and rear facing dash cams on the XJ and my wife's car. This city is huge and seems to have an unusually high number of drivers that are either driving like it's their own personal race-track or ones that seem to pay attention to everything else inside the car except actually driving.
And got the ones that have two separate cameras... so I can really see what is happening out back... not just what's going on inside the car. I figure these'll really come in handy in court if and when one of them decides it's a good idea to swap paint with me without asking first.
Only been waiting three months for this.
Friday it finally arrived, and Sunday I installed it.
Unfortunately it still did not fit without giving me a lil grief.
DC Power Eng. said the first one would fit, IT DIDN"T!
Then he asked me if it was OK for the charge lug to come out the bottom of the alt. I was like "SURE" that would be perfect.
Well this one he sent came out the side towards the block................... So it was in contact with the compressor/ alternator bracket. Seriously?
OK out comes the grinder, and cut-off wheel.
It fits now, and it had better work!
It is cleaner now from this picture.
Hopefully I can finally start this dang thing Wed. after my Airaid TB riser comes in (That's a whole another thread in it's self.
