Right with the width of both and pretty sure you have the backspacing correct on both too.

American Racing AR 23s 15x7 w/ Hankook Optimo H724s, 235x75x15s. Rear sagging a bit, yet ! This is how she sits now !
Ok, so I finally got done with this stretch ! New ZJ tie rod upgrade, new tie rods around all, new track-bar bushing and bolt, all new ball joints, new wheel bearing hubs, front outer axle seals, rebuilt front calipers painted red, new coated rotors, Akebono Ceramic Brake Pads, Inline Tube, SSTL preformed brake line kit, new extended braided soft lines, Russel brake line clips, home made clones of the Russel's in the rear. ZJ disc brake swap, swapped out proportioning valve guts from ZJ, rebuilt calipers, painted to match fronts. Matching pads and rotors, new rear axle bearings and seals, LOKKA lunchbox locker in the 8.25 with new grease and Lube Locker gasket. Everything is doing great now ! Brakes are firm and smooth. Need to center my steering wheel. She's pulling to the right while driving a lil bit, but not when braking. If you turn the wheel to the left, it still goes left. Seems like it should center a little easier? LOKKA sounds loud to me ? Maybe add thicker grease and thicker differential cover later? Maybe it will quiet down some in time ? Used rope cable clamps on the exiting e-brake lines. Works great ! Holds the car in gear, forward or reverse. May tweak it a bit more, test on a hill is needed yet. No more hopping around when I hit a bump. No more popping on turns. This was a lot to tackle at once for me, but it seemed to be the right approach ? May do my Lube Locker gasket in the front and change my grease tomorrow? Also have the battery cable upgrade from here by XJWONDERS to install, plus a EuroPal Headlight Upgrade with Phillips 130% and headlight harness upgrade to install. Not sure where I'm going to work or fix next ? Dying to get to the creature comforts, interior, seat covers, fix window and doorlocks, new floor and cargo liners and new headliner with a killer stereo ! Any thoughts on the pulling to the right ? I lined it up twice, I'll recheck it again.

Front outer axle tube seals !

Went to the pick and pull to get a steering gear box off and tie rod off a ZJ that I’ve robbed of rear brakes and center console lid already.

I also talked to the guy at the counter and he told me I could take any seats in the yard for 25 a seat!

However i I got there late and they close at 3 and after an hour of eyeballing seats and finding a few likely candidates I headed back to the parking lot to get a mallet and realized I had 15 minutes left before close. So that’s a next weekend project.

Headed back home home to change my PS pump and new hoses for the super slow leak I’ve got and found that my water pump was on its way out.

so i changed the water pump and it turns out I don’t have the right size line wrench to take off the high pressure hose going into the gear box for the PS.

Oh well, at least I got the water pump and thermostat changed. Looks like the PS gear box hose tie rod package will be a complete job next weekend as it’s football all day tomorrow!

This for around here is not bad if the tires are as new as he says. But still.

I have seen people asking $400 just for 5 of those rims around here. Icons on the other hand can be had for $25 each tops. LOL. Just amazing how availability and pricing can differ from region to region. Thinking since you probably want to run bigger tires, without adapters, you made the right choice with the Moabs.

Replace all 4 shocks with Monroe's and the front Sway bar bushings and links with MOOG.

What a difference in ride now.

How much did you pay for the shocks if you don't mind me asking. Looking for some new budget friendly shocks for the Comanche.

I spent a little more than I'd like to at $200 for 5, but I rarely see them at all here. I'm actually doing the opposite of running a bigger tire. Probably a 245/50r16

Compared that size to the 225/75/15's on my Eccos. Wow. Thinking your choice to use the Moabs because they are wider, while so much smaller everywhere else (LOL), was a smart one. Around here $200 for just rims in decent shape would have been pretty good IMO. You spend as much time on Craigslist as I do you get a feel for things. Sometimes you look at something and think "Yeah that ain't going to last long". Sure enough gone in hours. Other stuff you see you wonder how early in the day they started drinking. LOL. Tools are funny too. I have seen people ask the same price, sometimes even more, then for what it would cost you new at Home Depot from time to time. You see something you might be interested in and with internet you can get an idea of what it costs and if there is a deal there.

So what do you guys think of my $5 sandblaster? Was on OfferUp for the longest time and about a 15 minute ride. It is best I can tell a rebranded ALC. The trigger on the gun was frozen, gunked with media and probably not oiled properly, which I was able to free up. Just checked it out and seems to work as it should. Also going to need a new nozzle and the little metal piece with the rubber grommet on the inside of the gun. With a little luck maybe another $10.

I've beat on my alloy wheels for almost 4 years now and I've only had one fail me after bending a good bit and even when it failed it still held the tire on and held air. It had been hit very close to the same spot a few times. Before getting the alloys I bent all 4 steel wheels. Not talking bends in the edge of the rim I'm talking the barrel was no longer straight on the Center. I'm not saying go for or go against one or the other, but I plan on sticking with alloys. To me the pros outweigh the cons. What did you do to your Cherokee today?-photo72.jpg
