Speaking of, I saw a CLEAN Comanche yesterday. White, billet grille, small lift.
Wasn't able to get a pic as i was getting on the hwy and he was on the access rd. But it was cool seeing it, not too many running around here.

Attachment 403049 ujoint spit out a cap and bound up taking out the ears. Also got a nasty dent in the rear quarter
HAD 2 Jeeps, my 2000 XJ and a 2005 LJ
I DECIDED that I really only needed one
and SOLD the LJ
making the XJ the sole recipient of my "attentions" and my designated woods crawler for the indefinite future.
with complete makeover to come.

I did a couple things.
Tinted the glass on the new-to-me door, and put the molding on. Other than being clean and missing the pinstripes, lol, not a bad match.
Then darkened the hatch and front door glass. Because Texas.
It had to be done.
This... Im not sure if im really tickled about this. Better than sitting on the dash, but now my license plate is a battering ram. I dunno, i may do something different with that.

My first XJ was a '96. Have a soft spot for the old body style. If I knew how to weld I would have saved her. Structurally she was a disaster. Mechanically she was unstoppable. Door matches nicely. What is that switch on your console?

Yeah same here, my first was a '92. Still want another '99, but i do love the old body style.
That switch is for the power mirrors.

Driving an '00 now. Power mirrors. I should have been able to figure that out. My '96 was as pretty basic. Another reason I liked it. Auto, tilt wheel, crank windows, full gauges, rear defogger. IMO what was necessary. I also miss the real tilt wheel that those had. Not that stupid move it about 2" that the '97 and up have. Like an old school GM tilt wheel where you could rock the steering wheel between your legs with the 6 way power seats that those things use to have. LOL.
No, I don't lick fish.
Nice. Did you install em, or just take a pic of em? Lol jk. Thats such a fun job...

My neighbor owns a tint place and I keep trying to get him to give me a price on tinting my vehicles and he keeps answering with "just bring 'em in".... but he's in his 50s and works his *** off. I just feel bad about piling more work on him when he's already sweating his *** off with work piled up behind him in the middle of the summer.

I stood in the garage after a looong day at work and stared at the engine bay.. I thought about all the things I desperately needed to do. Then I stumbled into the living room. Opened a bottle of ice cold cherry coke, and fell asleep on the living room couch watching an episode of Futurama.
