Have you tried hitting the brakes? My turn signals light up when I hit the brakes too
Had that problem too with the rear turn signal lights lighting up when the brakes were hit. Turned out to be the factory light harness for trailer towing. Removed it and replaced it with a Hopkins harness # 42465, solved the whole problem. And all my exterior lights are LED too.

The front side markers are too? Are you having problems like I am? What bulbs did you use?

I've tried it with the aftermarket trailer harness and without it. Didn't change anything

Since it was still dark outside I decided to check. Fortunately one of my longer screwdrivers can be wedged in to press the brake pedal. My turn signals did not go on, talking about the actual turn signals not the indicators on the dash, with the brakes depressed. With both the headlights off or on. But this is with the Jeep not running so I will have to check with it running too. To early to start the Jeep. Trying to be considerate of my neighbors. LOL.
Oh yeah, my turn signals light up dimly on the dash too. I swapped LEDs in on the dash and they don't glow as bright.

I started a thread on this. I blame myself for not doing more research but people do give you the impression that it is pretty much plug and play with an LED flasher.

At the present time I am thinking either splicing another connector for the 194's into one of the front 3157's or the non polarized LED bulb might take care of that. Thinking I can live with the indicators glowing on the dashboard with the headlights on. Guessing using the LED flasher is causing that. I am going to have to remove it, put the old flasher back in, be back to hyperflashing for a minute, and see if the indicators still glow. Wondering if using those load resistors instead of the LED flasher would make them not glow.
I drove my Cherokee. Did new steering heims Friday and the steering is much better, but the battery wasn't charging today. Guess the alternator died again.
Got the jambs done. If I haven't mentioned before how much I hate doing doorjambs... I really hate doing doorjambs.
But at least its done now, and i can start on the exterior. Been awhile since ive had cause to pull all the weatherstrip out of an XJ, forgot what a gargantuan PITA it is, lol. Since all the trim panels are down now, guess ill knock out the headliner after the paint work is done.
But since there's literally nothing i can do till this cures, thats enough fun for one day. It's beer-thirty gents.
got the cowl straight enough, and got the new hood with naipier vents installed, still have some adjustments to make to get the hood nice and lined up. feels good to wrench on it again. trying to get it registerable so i can maybe drive it once and a while
My wife and decided to work on the jeep today. We found out that the front caliper wasn't sliding, cleaned the mud and grime out...seems fine now. We checked the rear self adjusters and one was froze up so we replaced both sides. While I drove to the parts store she changed the oil in her jeep Then she left because I was going to put the front dif back together. She hates the smell of gear oil. After my last issue painting the cover with dupli-color color match, I added 2 more coats when it was less humid...it came out good enough. Then the problems started. I installed the lube locker and the dif guard. Then I realized the guard blocks the fill plug. I took the guard back off and filled it up. Then I spilled 1/2 a bottle of gear oil in the garage. After it was all back together I realized that my wonderful paint job didn't hold up when I torqued the bolts down. Oh well, the mud will cover it soon enough.
ordered parts to solve my power steering problems for good. tired of the whiny ps pump, tired of the constant leaking, and tired of how close to the steering box it is.
hoping to fix that, get the hood tweaked a bit and get the drivers door back together and get it registered again.
