What did you do to your Cherokee today?
I feel like I've earned my first stripe as an XJ owner. Tonight I replaced the oil filter adapter o-rings. Decided I'd do it once and if (when) it leaks again I'll remove the adapter. Thanks to several posts on this forum it was a pretty painless job. Took a few minutes to find the right wrench combo to get leverage on the t60 torx bit, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as some of the stories I'd read.
Several years ago I was given a set of craftsman ratcheting wrenches as a gift. I'd never used them prior to tonight. Once broken free, it was very quick to remove using the ratcheting wrench vs. resetting the wrench 3 times per turn of the bolt.
Next up, front pinion and axle seals.

Ratcheting wrenches changed my life. I got a set for Christmas last year. I was with my mom when she bought them, so I knew she had them. About a month before Christmas I was doing my oil filter adapter o rings, I got it out without the ratcheting wrench but could not get it started with a standard wrench so I went in the house and asked my mom if I could borrow one wrench from my present. Changed everything.

Last night I drilled a hole in my hood release in the kicker panel because the handle has been broke since i got it. Currently has a piece of wire but planning a paracord strap on a key ring. Also re did my exhaust. no muffler anymore, now I am gonna run it on out the back tonight hopefully. Fiance doesnt like it dumping right under her seat.

Finally swapped out my nasty maroon interior for black everything door panels trim console whole 9 yards . Really want to find the vynil flooring like the one i got the parts from came with the back section was good but rest was toast.
New to the forum, but used it to research prior to my build. Been working on sound deadening up my xj....put a bunch of Noico in the doors, behind the door cards, and used it to "box" in the liftgate speakers as well. It's been a pain in the *** to pull off all the stock deadener but so far so good. Not many write ups regarding upgrading the front door speakers so I've been taking pictures and documenting my progress. Idk why it won't let me upload pics but hopefully I'll be able to add some soon.

Did you swap out the seatbelts? I need a front driver nasty maroon seatbelt. If you're up for getting rid of it?

For the hood release or the exhaust? The exhaust was just to change it up and see what itd sound like, I liked it so now I ran it back to the axle. Still super loud. The hood latch I decided since its broke, ill "customize it" with a key ring and either paracord or like a winch lead of some sort, havent really got that far lol
