I am in Canada, and the exchange rate right now sucks I just read that the doge neon clock spring is nearly identical, only difference is the spade connector for the horn. There is a guy here in town with about 6 neon parts cars. If I can't find a Jeep XJ or TJ one I will be knocking on his door.

attempted to remove the front bumper because the nuts inside the unibody for the sway bar mount broke loose. well the nuts doing the same thing on the bumper bracket broke so I said f it and pulled the swaybar. it was flopping around pretty bad before. quiet ride is back.

ordered some custom battery cables, thought it would be a good idea before installing my new light bar.

Radiator install
After 160K my radiator died and I had to have it replaced. Since I am moving and all my tools are in storage I had to have a garage replace it. I thought they did a great job, and the price was good. $477 for a new radiator, fluid, thermostat, cap, and labor. They didn't flush it as I had done this a year ago, and thought $120 was too much for a flush job anyway. I will flush it next summer when I get a chance anyway. This is a 2001 Grand Laredo and I have been keeping it going since buying it in 2005. Here is what happens to a Cherokee over the years, and yes they have planned obsolescence otherwise they would not be in business, but it is paid for and runs great!
First was the water pump which was covered by the 2year warranty I took out with the loan in 2005. This happened in 2006. The transmission went out with 77K miles on it, and with one…..ONE month left on the warranty for the car, it was replaced IN FULL without a dime spent....about $3500 bucks worth of a replacement, so that warranty paid for itself! After that over the years the full front end tie rod ends and stuff went, one right side ball joint, full backend replacement of both side bearings and differential rebuild. The driver’s side window motor went, that was $450 alone, man what a racket! I have had two sets of $780 tires over the years and two full brake jobs. The mileage is 160K right now and I bought it at 62K miles, so I have put on just around 100K miles. It runs great still, though I have this persistent light on for a code they can’t figure out. It says that it has miss fires, but I never can tell and it never seems to have any back fire noise. That is usually what the code reads. I have had two times in for a fix, and they can’t figure it out. Maybe it is the O2 sensors, that is my guess now. Oh I did replace the timing sensor. If your car stops and won’t start, don’t replace your fuel filter, as this is most likely the culprit.
