This is worthy of a write up. Or you can help me do it and I'll do the write up. That's a cool useful mod.

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/in...mirror-187310/

got the idea from here except i got my mirror from pick n pull with as much harness as i could scavenge and the temp sensor for it.

i also de-pinned the connector at the mirror of all un needed wires, you on
ly "need" 4 wires: 12v switched, ground, and 2 temp sensor wires, theres one 5th wire you can hoke to your reverse lights that will disable the auto-dim feature for backing up, i didnt use it cause i always look out the back window when reversing

total cost: 9.00$

when I put my transmission mount on it raised my transmission, so you might get like a 1/2" drop after the combo.

That's akin to saying you got 6" of lift from a 3" kit because your original suspension was sagging. All measurements and changes should be compared to original spec; not worn out parts.

So awesome. Whenever I'm not in my truck I keep looking at the mirror expectantly.

Alrighty so this time I drove 175 (missed a turn) miles in an average of -25℉ degree of wonderful Wisconsin weather. My XJ almost didn't start this morning. It was colder when I started it. Let it run for 30 minutes. Still cold when I got in. But it ran like a top at around 190-200℉. Over all very happy.

I'm just saying if he's getting the 1" drop crossmember to fix vibes then it's not actually going to drop it 1" from where it is now and may not fix the vibes.
